Theme: Quantifying the Impact & Value of the VCSE Sector
Bringing together VCSE and health sector organisations to learn about research underway looking at the impact and value of the VCSE sector across BOB, and together shaping the Integrated Care System.
Talk 1: The Integrated Care System one year on
Speaker: Nick Broughton, Incoming Interim CEO, BOB Integrated Care Board Nick brings a wealth of experience to Oxford Health, having joined the Trust from Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, where he lead the organisation from a Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating of ‘Requires Improvement’ in 2017 to ‘Good’ in January 2020. Prior to that, Nick was chief executive of Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Talk 2: Memorandum of Understanding between the Health Alliance and BOB ICB
Speakers: Katie Higginson, Deputy Chair of the BOB VCSE Health Alliance and Catherine Mountford, BOB ICB Director of Governance This session will cover how the MoU has been developed and with whom, our shared values and Actions/Commitments for the next 12 months.
Talk 3: Capturing the Scale and Value of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Organisations
Keynote Speaker: Professor Tony Chapman, Director of Research, Policy & Practice, St Chad’s College, Durham University We know from personal experience with people and communities how valuable our work is in the voluntary sector (VCSE). But how do we quantify this and tell a story with the data? We’ll hear from Prof. Tony Chapman who is using pioneering methods to demonstrate the scale, value and impact of the VCSE sector. Tony will share the outcomes of the recently commissioned research in the BOB area exploring the impact of the not-for-profit sector.
