BOB VCSE Health Alliance

The Health Alliance brings together the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham).

We foster collaboration among VCSE organisations and between the VCSE sector and the NHS.

Working together, we can improve health

Our Partnership Principles:

Why Is The Alliance Important?

Our vision is that the VCSE organisations are valued and equal partners in the Integrated Care System.

We believe that partnership working will enhance the health and well-being of the population of BOB.

It will help work towards the goals of integrated care systems:

  • Improve outcomes in population health
  • Tackle inequalities in health outcomes, experience and patient access
  • Enhance productivity and value for money
  • Support broader social and economic development

How we work

We foster collaboration among VCSE organisations and between the VCSE sector and the NHS.

VCSE Action Groups

Our VCSE Action Groups form a collective voice on key health and wellbeing issues. Meetings take place online every other month.

Representatives in ICS

Our representatives in ICS governance structures bring the voice and experience of VCSE organisations.

Our Research helps everyone understand what the VCSE is and how it contributes to health and wellbeing.

Health Assembly

Our Health Assembly events create a space for strategic discussions about partnership. These take place online quarterly.

What Is Integrated Care?

Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships of organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services, and to improve the lives of people who live and work in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Where we work

Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire also known as ‘BOB’

As in the BOB Integrated Care System, but most VCSE organisations are made up of real people in real places, working within the counties, towns and villages that people call home. We come together across BOB to support partnership working with the NHS.
